The draw for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League season takes place today in Brussels, with Georgia’s group stage opponents set to be confirmed. The ceremony gets underway at 21:00 Georgian time, with GPB First Channel providing live coverage throughout.

Based on their ranking from the previous competition, the Georgian national side has been placed in Pot 3 of League B.

Nations League B — The Pots:

Pot 1: Scotland, Hungary, Israel, Poland
Pot 2: Switzerland, Ukraine, Bosnia, Austria
Pot 3: Georgia, Romania, Ireland, Slovenia
Pot 4: Sweden, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Northern Ireland

From the new season onwards, UEFA has introduced changes to the international calendar. Two windows will be allocated for national team fixtures in the autumn, a departure from previous years, when three windows were spread across September, October and November. This time around, teams will play four consecutive matches over 12 days in September and October, with the final two rounds following in November within a five-day window. The play-offs, previously scheduled for March 2027, have been moved to June.

There are also regulatory changes to note. In League B, the side finishing second in their group will enter a play-off against the third-placed team from League A on 25–30 March the following year, played over two legs, home and away. The third-placed side, meanwhile, will face the League C runners-up in March to retain their League B status.

Group winners who fail to qualify for UEFA Euro 2028 through the conventional qualifying cycle will be given a route in via the play-offs. It is also worth noting that seeding for the Euro 2028 qualifying draw will be determined by Nations League performance.
