FM: Unacceptable for FMs of friendly state to attend opposition-organized event

Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili declared on Thursday that it is “unacceptable”  for a friendly state’s minister of foreign affairs to attend an opposition-organized event.

Darchiashvili asserts that diplomats are “more accountable.”

“The fact is unacceptable and unheard of. It is unacceptable for the foreign minister of a friendly state to attend an opposition-organized event while visiting a friendly nation. This is a very sad fact,” Darchiashvili noted.

The foreign ministers of Estonia, Iceland, and Lithuania addressed the rally participants on Rustaveli Avenue yesterday.
