FM: Relations between Georgia and the Vatican are invaluable; the Vatican's role is crucial for peace
According to Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Georgia deeply values the longstanding friendly relations that unite the country with the Vatican.
As Botchorishvili highlighted, the Holy See plays a significant role on the international stage, particularly in peace-building efforts.
“The relations that have been nurtured between Georgia and the Vatican over the years are of great importance to us. With a new Pope now at the helm of the Catholic Church, it is essential that he meets with Georgia’s Prime Minister to discuss the key issues relevant to Georgia amidst global and regional developments. The Vatican’s influence is instrumental in promoting peace, especially given the ongoing processes in the region,” stated Maka Botchorishvili.
