FM participates in GUAM Organization Foreign Ministers' 41st meeting

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili participated in the 41st meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, held on December 12 within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Ministerial in Brussels.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba chaired the meeting. Moldovan Vice PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu, Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov, and GUAM Secretary General Altai Efendiev also took part in the meeting.

The participants reviewed political, interparliamentary and sectoral issues on the agenda and highlighted the intensification of regional cooperation in trade, energy and transport spheres.

At the meeting, Azerbaijan presented priorities for cooperation in 2024. The sitting attendees signed the accord on the transfer of the organization’s chairmanship to Azerbaijan next year.
