FM meets US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL), Erin M. Barclay, within the framework of the UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva.

The sides reviewed US-Georgia strategic partnership-related issues and the US support of Georgia in democratic, economic, and institutional development.

Erin Barclay positively assessed the Georgian government’s 2022-2030 state strategy for the human rights legislative base.

The US side also welcomed Georgia’s membership of the UN Human Rights Council for 2023-2025.
