FM: Constitutional goals achievable through pragmatic, results-oriented policy

“Taking into account current challenges, we will achieve Constitutional goals only through pursuing pragmatic and results-oriented policy,” said Maka Botchorishvili, Georgian Foreign Minister at the annual meeting with heads of Georgian Diplomatic Representations.

The FM spoke about facing challenges in the international arena.

“The processes ongoing in our region, which are in the epicenter of global politics, most painfully reflect Georgia and we need caution and courage at the same time to protect our country’s national interests,” she said.

According to Maka Botchorishvili, Georgia’s foreign political priorities are oriented on the restoration of territorial integrity through peace, strengthening sovereignty, stability and ensuring security, Georgia’s integration into Euro-Atlantic structures and deepening relations with international partners.

The FM underscored that Georgia requires strong state institutions.

“Smooth operation of state institutions serves as the most important guarantor of the state sovereignty and protection of interests. Foreign Affairs Ministry is one of the key institutions, which is represented on the front line for the protection of peace, stability, economic development and vitally significant interests of our citizens,” she stated.

Maka Botchorishvili thanked the Georgian diplomats for protecting the country’s interests and for their loyalty to Georgia.
