FM Botchorishvili meets with OSCE Secretary General

During the OSCE Ministerial, Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the OSCE Secretary General, Feridun Sinirlioğlu. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reported on this engagement.

According to the ministry, Minister Botchorishvili addressed the ongoing Russia-Georgia conflict and the grave situation in the occupied regions, emphasising concerns related to security, human rights, and humanitarian issues. She also highlighted the OSCE’s involvement in the peaceful resolution of the conflict.

“In this context, the significance of the Geneva International Discussions was underscored,” the statement noted.

“The Minister expressed gratitude to the Secretary General for his support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the OSCE. The discussions also covered the challenges to the country’s security and stability, emphasising the need to uphold the principles of international law to bolster peace and stability in the region. The meeting further explored avenues of cooperation between Georgia and the OSCE across various domains,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
