Flights between Russia, occupied Abkhazia to begin on May 1, Sergey Kiriyenko says

Flights between Russia and Russia-occupied Abkhazia will recommence on May 1, according to Sergey Kiriyenko, the First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration.

Sukhumi Airport got a test flight from Moscow in early February, the first in 30 years.

The occupation regime of the Abkhazia region signed a airport reconstruction agreement with the Russian company in October 2023.
