First Vice Speaker: Sanctions target specific political objectives

“Sanctions are designed to achieve specific objectives, aimed at allowing a political team to seize power through violent means and implement particular directives,” stated Gia Volski, First Vice Speaker.

Volski emphasized that the Georgian government acts in the best interests of the country, asserting that society should not be sacrificed in the pursuit of global goals.

“We should not react emotionally to sanctions; instead, we must anticipate them and be prepared. Society should not bear the brunt of scenarios plotted to fulfill these global ambitions. Each nation makes decisions and takes action based on its own interests. The ongoing global developments affect how certain countries view Georgia, and we must adopt a pragmatic stance, just as others assess their strategies to fulfill their own interests,” Volski asserted.
