First Lady of Georgia sends Christmas greetings to participants of Alilo procession
First Lady of Georgia, Tamar Bagrationi, extended Christmas wishes to those participating in the Alilo procession.
She was present at First Republic Square with her children and a grandchild.
The First Lady conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the people of Georgia for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to beautiful Georgia on the occasion of Christmas. I wish my people health, courage, and prosperity. I truly believe that love will be our salvation. May the Lord be our protector,” Tamar Bagrationi expressed.
Since 2000, with the blessing of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, the Nativity of Christ procession, known as “Alilo,” has been celebrated on a grand scale in Tbilisi, marking a special moment in the national religious calendar.
