First Infantry Brigade's medical unit demonstrates NATO-standard field hospital operations

The First Infantry Brigade’s medical company has conducted a demonstration exercise at the Vaziani Training Base as part of the NATO-Georgia Exercise 2025.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Defence, the exercise simulated the evacuation of wounded soldiers to a field hospital (ROLE2F) using specialised  the “Didgori Medevac” vehicles, followed by emergency surgical treatment and subsequent hospitalisation.

The main objective of the field exercise was to enhance the professional skills of military medical personnel, ensuring effective medical support for units operating in tactical environments.

NATO medical experts observed the field hospital operations, which were set up and run according to Alliance standards by the First Infantry Brigade’s medical company.
