First Deputy Interior Minister meets Turkish National Police delegation

First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Roni Meskhi held a meeting with members of the Turkish National Police delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey, who are currently on a working visit to Georgia.

Serdar Büyükleblebici, Head of the Department for Anti-Smuggling and Organised Crime, heads the delegation.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the meeting, the sides discussed existing cooperation and priority areas between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries. The importance of coordinated work, through joint efforts, in effectively combating crime was emphasised.

The parties also reviewed pressing law enforcement issues for both sides and planned joint future activities. Both sides expressed readiness to intensify cooperation further.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Central Criminal Police, Patrol Police, Adjara Police, and International Relations Departments, as well as the Georgian Police Attaché to the Republic of Turkey.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the head of the delegation expressed his gratitude to the Georgian side for a fruitful meeting and warm hospitality.
