Fire rages on slope of mixed forest near Khani village in Baghdati

A blaze is currently burning on the hillside of a mixed forest close to the village of Khani in Baghdati. The Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued an update on the incident.

They report that approximately 200 firefighters are actively engaged in extinguishing the fire, employing specialised equipment and machinery.

An ongoing effort to contain the fire involves personnel and specialised machinery from the Emergency Management Service, along with three Border Police helicopters. An emergency command centre has been established at the scene.

According to the Emergency Management Service, there is no immediate threat of the fire spreading to nearby inhabited areas.
