Tbilisi hosts the European Fencing Championships among juniors and cadets.

Giorgi Urushadze claimed the title of European champion among cadets by defeating his rival from Turkiye, Candeniz Berrak, in the finals.

The Georgian fencer defeated a Romanian opponent in the quarterfinals and a Hungarian opponent in the semifinals.

Georgia hosts the European Fencing Championships for the first time ever in history. The tournament will continue until February 27.
