Female parliamentary opposition lawmakers met with foreign ambassadors to discuss the fulfillment of the EC’s 12 recommendations for Georgia.
MPs conveyed their views to the ambassadors of Greece, Hungary, France, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Finland.
According to Khatia Dekanoidze, the United National Movement faction member, the meeting also touched on Nika Gvaramia’s imprisonment, the role of the Gender Equality Council in Parliament, and the Venice Commission’s recommendations.
“Implementation of 12 proposals was the main topic of discussion, on which the ruling Georgian Dream does not even aim to express political will. We discussed how important a candidate’s status is for Georgia,” Khatia Dekanoidze stated.
MPs Teona Akubardia, Khatuna Samnidze, Ana Natsvlishvili, Salome Samadashvili, Tamar Kordzaia, Ana Buchukuri, and Ketevan Turazashvili also attended the meeting.
