Federalists’ Chergoleishvili: “Misha’s camp” blames us for a 20-person rally, but won’t admit Saakashvili is finished as a leader
Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the Federalists, has posted on social media about the protest outside the Constitutional Court.
“The anthropologist ladies from Misha’s camp are rubbing our noses in the fact that only 20 people turned up to the rally the UNM announced outside Bidzina’s circus. Well, they’re hardly going to admit that Misha no longer exists as a political leader, are they?
P.S. On our responsibility, a rally will be held on 28 November, so please come. You can also attend our campaign launch on 25 October,” Chergoleishvili wrote.
A protest is being held outside the Constitutional Court in Batumi as the hearing takes place inside. Protesters say the process is “anti-constitutional and the verdict is a foregone conclusion”.
The Constitutional Court began its substantive hearing today on the lawsuit seeking to declare the activities of five opposition parties unconstitutional and ban them. It will continue for three days.
