Federalists believe Lelo leader undecided over participation in local elections

“I believe Mamuka Khazaradze (leader of the Lelo party) is undecided over the participation in local elections. The decision will depend on his making calculations,” said Tamar Chergoleishvili, one of the leaders of the Federalists’ party.

According to Tamar Chergoleishvili, Mamuka Khazaradze will change his mind about running in local self-governance elections if he is convinced that he would receive more harm than benefit. However, he does not know what is the harm which will make him change his mind.

“The sham will not turn into a national referendum. What Ivanishvili plans, to conduct elections on October 4 under his control will be nothing but a farce. The Federalists Party will conduct a campaign for people to know about the urge for new elections through which we will change the government, implement national reforms and hold such local elections, which will serve people’s interests and future instead of the party,” she said.
