Georgia marks Family Purity Day on May 17.
The Georgian Orthodox Church (GOC) holds a festive church service at the Kashveti Church led by the Patriarchal locum tenens, Shio.
The clergy will also conduct prayer at the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral.
In 2014, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, initiated the celebration of Family Purity Day on May 17.
