Family members of prominent Georgian painter Lado Gudiashvili say that they have never seen the painting “Theatrical traditional folks festival of Georgia” which is posted on the Internet auction eBay for sale.

As the artist’s family members say, in order to establish the authenticity of the painting, the conclusions of the commission and specialists are needed.

Georgian First Channel talked to art critic Nino Khundadze.

Nino Khundadze claims that abovementioned work is unknown to her.

As she noted, the technical analysis should be conducted, as the stylistic inspection is insufficient for determining the authenticity of the work.

A painting by Lado Gudiashvili “Theatrical traditional folks festival of Georgia” is sold on eBay for $ 120,000.
