Ex-President Saakashvili: Truth will emerge sooner or later; in meantime, we spread and intensify struggle

“I saw the footage, and it very much looks like a pre-staged play, where everyone has their own role. I am confident that people will not be duped by this, just as they will no longer accept the narrative of the October 4th fence overturning,” former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili shared his thoughts on social media.

He added, “Sooner or later, everything will become clear.”

“Someone may genuinely be haunted by the ghost of Van der Lubbe, the Reichstag arsonist. Back then, the Nazis staged a spectacle, luring the Dutch communist Van der Lubbe into the unguarded Reichstag and allowing him to set it on fire without resistance. They then arrested many opponents on terrorism charges, including Giorgi Dimitrov, unleashing waves of repression. I suspect we’re witnessing a similar performance now.

I believe that, as in other instances, regimes send provocateurs into protest movements; individuals willing to do anything for money. In this particular case, no one can be charged without irrefutable evidence. It is also possible that someone is being monitored and manipulated into acting in a specific manner, which is a common tactic employed by intelligence services.

I saw the footage, and it looks very much like a staged play, with everyone playing their designated role. I am confident that people will not be duped by this, just as they will no longer accept the narrative of the October 4th fence overturning. Sooner or later, everything will become clear. In the meantime, we continue the fight, spreading it widely and intensifying our efforts,” Saakashvili concluded.
