Ex-President Saakashvili calls on Georgians for action

“This fight continues, and it is about far more than simply my fate,” says former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on Facebook.

Saakashvili pointed out that major geopolitical concerns are being solved, and the “right forces” will triumph together with Ukraine.

The former president thanked “all honest experts,” and his attorneys for resisting “this great injustice,” as well as “all politicians for their solidarity and humanity.”

“This fight continues, and it is about far more than simply my fate. Big geopolitical concerns are being solved, and, along with Ukraine, all the right forces will triumph while evil fail. However, Georgians should not sit back and wait, but rather actively voice their stance,” Saakashvili wrote.

The Tbilisi City Court denied ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s motion for his prison sentence postponement or release on February 6.
