Eurovision 2025 opening ceremony to take place in Basel on May 11

Eurovision 2025 opening ceremony will take place in Basel on May 11.

The 2025 Turquoise Carpet will see the 37 competing acts will walk from the iconic Basel Rathaus (City Hall) through to the Market Square, they will then board vintage trams that will transport them to the Basel Messe.

The opening ceremony will begin at 15:45 Georgian time and continue for approximately two hours. A live broadcast will be available on the official Facebook page of GPB First Channel.

Georgian contender Mariam Shengelia and “Erisioni” will walk the turquoise carpet alongside representatives from the other 36 competing nations.

The Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland on May 13, 15 and 17. Mariam Shengelia will perform tenth in the running order during the second semi-final on May 15.
