“The EU wants to stand by Georgia, protect your sovereignty, your territorial integrity. I want to send you another message of friendship from the EU,” European Council President Charles Michel said after a meeting with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.
“I am very happy to be in Georgia with you. We met again a few weeks after Brussels. My meeting today, as well as yesterday in Moldova and tomorrow in Ukraine, is the message of partnership towards the countries of the region. The EU wants to stand by Georgia to protect your sovereignty, your territorial integrity. We know that the region is very complex. We also support the ambitions to implement the reforms to stabilize the situation around Covid-19 faced here and around the world. I want to take advantage of my presence here and send you another message of friendship from the European Union,” said Charles Michel.
President of the European Council Charles Michel will hold official meetings on Monday during his visit to Georgia.
