Eurodesk Network Meeting and General Assembly 2023 opened at the Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) at the initiative and support of the Tbilisi City Hall’s Municipal Service of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs.
Deputy Tbilisi Mayor Andria Basilaia, chair of Municipal Service Irakli Gvilava, Head of the European Commission’s Youth Policy and Programmes Mathieu Orphanides, Eurodesk President Lorena Baric, and the network’s representatives from different countries attended the meeting.
Andria Basilaia said membership of the Eurodesk Network would give Georgian youngsters more opportunities to study in Europe and participate in exchange programs.
At the meetings, which will be held on March 28-31, the participants will discuss plans, joint projects and social-culture activities.
Eurodesk is a European youth information network created in 1990. As a support organization to Erasmus+, Eurodesk makes information on learning mobility comprehensive and accessible to young people.
With a network of 39 Eurodesk Centres connected to local information providers in 37 European countries, Eurodesk raises awareness of European opportunities and encourages young people to become active citizens.
