EU Integration Committee Chair: It is critical that EU enlargement policy be effective
“The primary challenge for the European Union today is security issues and current regional developments; the EU’s enlargement policy is discussed in this context,” said Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the EU Integration Committee, the Chair of the delegation to the Euronest PA, and the Co-Chair of the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Association Committee.
“It is critical that the EU’s enlargement policy be effective to assure timely delivery of the advantages that, as history has shown, come with EU enlargement, most notably security, and stability,“ Botchorishvili noted.
EU Integration Committee Chair added: “It is critical that specific actions are taken this year to demonstrate that this policy works and that we are all a part of it.”
