EU Delegation launches Copernicus rapid mapping service amid severe snowfall

“EU Delegation to Georgia activated the Copernicus Emergency Management Service for rapid mapping,” the EU Delegation wrote on the social network.

“Severe snowfall in West Georgia is leaving many cut off from essential services, leading to dire conditions. To assist responders, the EU Delegation to Georgia activated the Copernicus Emergency Management Service for rapid mapping. Using satellite imagery and other geospatial data, Copernicus will help to assess the damage caused by the snowfall,” the EU Delegation wrote.
