EU Ambassador says its essential Georgia to finally reach state of having full-fledged Parliament
“It is essential to finally reach a state when Georgia will be able to have a full-fledged parliament that will be ready to meet the responsibilities every Georgian citizen is waiting for,” EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell told reporters.
The ambassador says the meetings with the opposition and the authorities were fruitful.
“I always see a solution. Last Friday we had productive meetings with the opposition in terms of where we can find a way forward for Georgia, for the Parliament that will be ready for the important challenges the country faces and at the same time improve progress on the European path, to strengthen EU relations, that is what I am fighting for. These efforts will continue and I hope we will reach a point where we can move forward in these discussions,” Hartzell said.
