EU Ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski on Wednesday met chairs of the parliamentary Agriculture, Gender Equality, Budgetary-Finance, Youth and Sports, Diaspora and Caucasus Issues committees.
According to the EU Ambassador, at all “important meetings,” the sides discussed Georgia-EU cooperation issues and Georgia’s approximation to the EU standards and principles.
“We discussed ongoing cooperation with the EU. We also discussed the approximation of Georgia with European principles and EU standards, which is an ongoing process.
I will continue my meetings with other chairs of parliamentary committees in the near future. It was extremely interesting to me.
We will cooperate very closely on those issues trying to make sure that Georgi’s legislation is getting closer and closer to the European Union’s standards and EU principles,” he said.
