Emre Ray’s Chairman: New tram network will serve Tbilisi for generations; thanks for placing your trust in us
“I am confident that the tram line we are set to build will serve the residents of Tbilisi for a very long time to come,” Chairman of Emre Ray Metin Yılmaz declared during the official signing ceremony for the design and construction of the Tbilisi tram network.
Yılmaz expressed his gratitude to the Georgian Government and the Mayor of Tbilisi for enabling the company to execute this major transit project in the capital.
“Today, we sign the contract to launch construction on the new tram network. My sincere thanks go to the Georgian Government and the Mayor of Tbilisi for putting their trust in our firm. We are among the industry’s leading contractors, having laid over 4,000 kilometres of railway track and more than 2,000 kilometres of tram lines worldwide, including the construction of the Dubai Metro. Thank you for placing your faith in us and granting us the opportunity to deliver this vision here in Tbilisi. I am thoroughly convinced that the tram line we are preparing to build will serve the people of Tbilisi for generations to come,” Metin Yılmaz noted.
For context, construction is officially getting underway on a new tram line that will connect the Didi Dighomi district directly with Didube Metro Station.
