Embassy to assist quake-affected Georgians in tripping home

Georgian Embassy in Turkey will assist Georgians who were affected by the February 6 deadly earthquake but wish to return to Georgia in organizing trips to homeland,” Georgian Ambassador to Turkey, Giorgi Janjghava told Moambe, the GPB First Channel’s Main News Program.

The Ambassador said he had communicated with the Foreign Minister, and the exact plan and scheme would become known on February 12.

He clarified that many Georgian citizens had already left the disaster zone, some were assisted remotely, all of them are localized.

“Some of them wanted to leave, but later decided to stay. They are trying not to leave their loved ones, friends, and the families where they work in this tragic moment for Turkey,” said Giorgi Janjghava.
