The US Embassy agrees with the assessment of the OSCE monitoring mission that the first round of elections in Georgia was held in a competitive environment, – the US Charge d’affaires Elizabeth Rood stated.
According to her, voters were able to express their opinion.
“Our embassy also shares the assessments regarding the problems that were fixed in the elections and hopes that they will be corrected in the second round. We look at elections as another opportunity for Georgia to show its democratic electoral system” – Elizabeth Rood said.
