Education Minister unveils new education reform initiatives to parents in Samtskhe-Javakheti
The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, convened a meeting with parents of students in the Akhaltsikhe Municipality of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
According to the Ministry of Education, Minister Mikanadze outlined the upcoming initiatives and plans to be rolled out as part of the ongoing reform of the general education system.
He underscored the vital importance of involving the school community, particularly parents, in shaping the reform process. As he highlighted, regular meetings with key stakeholder groups are held to ensure their perspectives are thoroughly considered in decision-making.
The session was conducted in a question-and-answer format, enabling participants to receive comprehensive information on topics such as school uniforms, the enhancement of textbook quality, the promotion of a healthy school environment, and other related issues.
The gathering was also attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Zviad Gabisonia; State Representative for Samtskhe-Javakheti, Zaal Gelashvili; Delegate for Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni, Borjomi, and Aspindza, Anton Obolashvili; Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, Varlam Tsiklauri; and Chairman of the Akhaltsikhe Municipality Sakrebulo, Saba Kbilashvili.
