Education Minister, Knesset Speaker review Georgia-Israel cooperation issues
Within the framework of his working visit to Israel, Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs Givi Mikanadze, engaged with Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana to review cooperation intensification prospects.
According to the Ministry, the sides spoke about the political situation in the region and highlighted the significance of peace, stability and dialogue. They focused on the implementation of joint academic exchange programs and innovation projects.
Givi Mikanadze extended gratitude to Israel for the partnership. He accentuated that through cooperation with Israel and with the involvement of youth, many projects are implemented that are significant for the establishment and intensification of ties between the two countries.
Amir Ohana positively assessed Georgia-Israel partnership relations and reconfirmed readiness to intensify cooperation with Georgia.
Georgia’s Friendship Group Head in the Knesset David Bitton, Georgia’s Chargé d’Affaires ad interim to the State of Israel Sofio Otiashvili, members of the Georgian delegation, and representatives of the Knesset attended the meeting.
