Education Minister hosted Turkish Ambassador

The Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Mustafa Türker Ari.

According to the Ministry of Education of Georgia, Minister Mikanadze congratulated the Ambassador on his new role and emphasised that Georgia and Turkey have a long history of fruitful cooperation. He noted that, through joint efforts, numerous important initiatives are currently underway in the fields of education, science, and youth.

Givi Mikanadze highlighted the main directions of Georgia’s extensive education reforms, with particular focus on the reform of the higher education system.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the successful cooperation between the two countries and explored prospects for further expanding their partnership.

They also addressed the implementation of joint projects aimed at youth. It was acknowledged that the memorandum signed between the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey will play a significant role in deepening ties among young people.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to Givi Mikanadze for his warm hospitality and affirmed his readiness to strengthen the constructive partnership between Georgia and Turkey.
