Education Minister discusses enhancing cooperation with Hungary

The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, met with László Pozsán, Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly, during his official visit to Hungary.

The two officials explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral collaboration across the spheres of education, science, and youth engagement.

According to the Ministry, particular emphasis was placed on the prospects for joint projects targeting young people, as well as the significance of strengthening links between universities and research institutes in both nations.

The conversation also addressed the potential formation of a working group dedicated to expanding partnership in education and scientific research, and to sharing best practices.

Givi Mikanadze outlined to Mr Pozsán the ongoing reform of Georgia’s general and higher education systems.

In response, the Hungarian side expressed a positive assessment of Georgia’s initiatives and conveyed its readiness to deepen cooperation.
