Economy Minister to attend EU-co-organised Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and Connectivity Investment Forum

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili will participate in the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and Connectivity Investment Forum, as well as in the meeting of transport ministers from the European Union, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and the Black Sea region, scheduled within the framework of the event.

Co-organised by the European Union, the forum seeks to strengthen EU collaboration with partner countries along the corridor to improve transport connections between Europe and Asia, in line with the EU’s Global Gateway initiative.

During the event, Georgia will outline its vision and plans for contributing to the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and for establishing strong transport connections between our region and the European Union.

The forum and ministerial meeting will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, tomorrow.

As part of the programme, Mariam Kvrivishvili will participate in a panel discussion addressing connectivity issues between Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and the Black Sea region.

Jozef Síkela, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, will attend the event.
