Economy Minister attends presentation of Georgian Airways Boeing 767-300

The First Vice Prime Minister, Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili attended the presentation of the Georgian Airways new Boeing 767-300.

Levan Davitashvili discussed the positive dynamics of growing passenger flow as well as current developments in the nation’s aviation industry.

“The aviation industry in Georgia is growing rapidly, and our post-pandemic recovery has been particularly noteworthy. With almost 2.5 million passengers so far this year, the rate of passenger flow from Georgian airports is 31% more than it was last year,” the Minister said.

According to the Ministry, the Boeing 767-300 will carry out flights to China, Thailand, and India.

The Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia said 13,600 flights are planned to be completed during the busy summer navigation season.

2480 flights from Georgia to Europe, or 18% of all flights from and to Georgia will be carried out between June and October.
