Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has offered ‘heartfelt’ condolences to those affected by the devastating Shovi landslide in Georgia.
“We hold out hope for the safe recovery of missing individuals during ongoing search and rescue efforts,” the Ministry tweeted.
The death toll in the landslide-hit Shovi resort of the Oni Municipality rose to 18, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday.
As of now, eighteen people remain missing. Over 200 people have been moved to a safe area.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili declared Monday, August 7, a Day of Mourning.
A deadly landslide struck the resort on August 3.
