A Covid-case surge in Georgia is expected in autumn, as said by the Director-General of the Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
To keep today’s “good” epidemiological situation, Tsertsvadze urges the people to get jabbed, a booster, and wear a face mask in crowded places despite lifted regulations.
Covid cases see a significant swell globally, including in Georgia, jumping from 100 to 600-700 infections. Mostly, those with a travel history contract the virus.
Tengiz Tsertsvadze calls on the relevant hospitals to use COVID-19 treatments Paxlovid and Remdesivir duly.
