“Another session of the Cross-Government Coordination Commission on Food Prices was convened, this time with Georgian producers. We discussed the challenges they face in their relationships with retail chains and distributors,” stated Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration.

Zhorzholiani noted that there was unanimous agreement that prices can be lowered.

“The producers also raised the importance of promoting Georgian products, which is vital. Currently, it often happens that Georgian manufacturers prefer to export their goods rather than sell them domestically, given the current environment. We discussed measures to improve this environment,” added Levan Zhorzholiani.
