Director of Infectious Diseases Hospital – Till end of November, daily coronavirus cases may exceed 3 thousand
Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases, said that the number of new cases of COVID-19 was increasing in Georgia likewise across the whole world.
Tsertsvadze said he presumed that till the end of November, daily coronavirus cases might exceed 3 thousand that would put the clinical sector in face with serious challenges.
“Georgia is in the worse condition than other countries, since it rejected imposition of another lockdown like many European countries did,” Tsertsvadze said.
Director of Infectious Diseases Hospital explained that the Georgian government had made the decision about refusal of lockdown by taking into consideration the interests of the population, negative effects to economy and ongoing election process.
