Deputy Justice Minister partakes in Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest

Tamar Zodelava, Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, is participating in the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest in Bucharest, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia reported.

According to the ministry, in her speech, Zodelava emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the protection of human rights during technological transformation.

She spoke about the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the challenges posed by disinformation, cyberattacks and issues of digital sovereignty. As Zodelava noted, Georgia was among the first countries to sign the Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, demonstrating its commitment to protecting fundamental rights and freedoms during digital reforms.

The Deputy Minister also discussed the country’s 2025–2030 Digital Governance Strategy, which aims to ensure the sustainability and security of public services. She informed summit participants about Georgia’s successful House of Justice model, new opportunities for remote property registration, the digital transformation of governance, and initiatives to strengthen women’s digital literacy.

The summit was organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics and brings together platforms such as the Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum and the International Cyber Diplomacy Conference.

As part of her visit to Romania, Tamar Zodelava will also hold meetings with the leadership of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics in Bucharest. Representatives of the Digital Governance Agency are also participating in the visit, the ministry said in a statement.
