Deputy Finance Minister: Int'l institutions positive about Georgia's economic growth outlook

“International institutions are positive about Georgia’s economic growth prospects,” said Georgian Deputy Finance Minister Mikheil Dundua, remarking on the World Economic Situation and Prospects 2023 report published by the United Nations.

According to the Deputy Finance Minister, economic growth was predicted at 4.4% in 2022, but it made 10.8% last year, and the growth prediction for 2023 is 5.2%, showing that the outlook is already encouraging.

The Deputy Minister also compared the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) forecasts as improving year after year.

“As time passes, it becomes increasingly obvious to our foreign partners and organisations that Georgia’s economic outlook is stable, robust, and sufficient to resume economic growth,” he said.
