Georgian Minister of Defense, Juansher Burchuladze, met the Head of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia, Dimitrios Karabalis, on Monday.
During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed current issues and future cooperation plans between the EUMM and the Defense Ministry.
Minister Burchuladze underscored the vital role of the EUMM as the sole international monitoring mechanism in ensuring security within the region.
The discussion focused on the security challenges faced in the region and the situation in the occupied territories.
Both parties emphasized the priority areas of cooperation with the European Union, particularly within the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) of the European Union.
