Defence and Security Committee meets with Chairman of Türkiye's Internal Affairs parliamentary committee
The Chairman of Georgia’s Defence and Security Committee, Aleksandre Tabatadze, along with members of the committee delegation, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Turkish Parliament’s Internal Affairs Committee, Süleyman Soylu.
According to the Georgian Parliament’s press service, during their discussions, the participants explored the key areas of strategic cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye. They also reviewed the security situation in the region, underscoring the importance of close collaboration in the security sphere to confront shared challenges and threats.
The two sides examined opportunities for cooperation in law enforcement and highlighted the necessity of strong relations between the relevant agencies of Türkiye and Georgia.
In his remarks, Aleksandre Tabatadze expressed Georgia’s appreciation for Türkiye’s steadfast stance and unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration.
