Davit Kirkitadze admitted guiltiness and apologized during court trial

Davit Kirkitadze, one of the leaders of National Movement Party admitted guiltiness and apologized to the Police during the court trial – Journalist of Georgian First Channel reported from Gurjaani District Court. It is not excluded that Kirkitadze is released from the court hall.

Kirkitadze is accused of assaulting a police officer during the Velistsikhe incident on December 16, when several hundred opposition activists confronted police officers blocking their way to the President Salome Zurabishvili’s inauguration venue in Telavi.

The District Court of Gurjaani sentenced Davit Kirkitadze, one of the leaders of the opposition United National Movement Party, to pretrial custody on December 20, 2018.
