Georgian Rugby Union elected Davit Kacharava as its President. Fifty-seven delegates from 58 voted for his candidacy. Davit Kacharava succeeded Ioseb Tkemaladze in the position.
Davit Kacharava debuted in 2006. He held 122 matches in the National Rugby team “Borjghalosnebi” which is a record for the Georgian team. He scored 25 Lels and ranks third place in the team’s history.
Kacharava competed in four World Cups (2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019) and won the European Rugby Championship 11 times.
Davit Kacharava has been the Chairman of the Rugby Union’s Gamgeoba for the last 4 years.
