David Zalkaliani: We will have serious activities in the direction of NATO integration this year
We will have serious activities in the direction of NATO integration this year, we expect the visit of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg to Georgia, – Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani told the journalists after the joint meeting of the Government Commission on EU Integration and the State Commission on NATO Integration.
According to him, the results of the last year were evaluated and discussed the plans of the current year.
“It should be noted that we will have quite serious activities in this direction this year. We look forward to the visit of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg to Georgia. The meeting of NATO Military Committee is planned in Georgia and as well as the training under the auspices of NATO. This direction related to NATO integration is acknowledged by our NATO partners, which was expressed at the Brussels Summit, which states that Georgia has a tangible result in the use of all practical instruments aimed at ultimate goal – membership”, – David Zalkaliani said.
The joint meeting of the Government Commission on EU Integration and the State Commission on NATO Integration, chaired by the Prime Minister, discussed eight issues from the meeting agenda.
