Croatian First Lady holds public lecture at National Disease Control Center

At the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, the First Lady of Croatia and public health expert, Sanja Music Milanović, delivered a public lecture titled “Health in the Modern Era – Together for a Healthy Lifestyle.”

During the lecture, Sanja Music Milanović discussed the health challenges of the modern era, the importance of preventing non-communicable diseases, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, and the role of joint efforts by the state and society in improving public health.

The meeting aimed to share international experience and deepen cooperation in promoting healthy living.

The event was attended by Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze; First Lady of Georgia Tamar Bagrationi; Deputy Minister of Health Tea Giorgadze; Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Irakli Purtseladze; Deputy Director Paata Imnadze; as well as invited guests and specialists in the field.

Sanja Music Milanović is an epidemiologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor at the University of Zagreb, a World Health Organization expert on nutrition and physical activity, and head of several national projects at the Croatian Institute of Public Health. During the visit, the First Lady of Croatia met with the First Lady of Georgia Tamar Bagrationi, Director of the Center Irakli Purtseladze, and Deputy Director Paata Imnadze. The parties discussed cooperation and future plans.

The visit aims to deepen cooperation between Georgia and Croatia in public health, promote the exchange of experience, and develop joint initiatives that will contribute to improving healthcare and quality of life.
