Court trial into Doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili’s case to be held in occupied Tskhinvali
The court trial into case of Doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili kept imprisoned by the occupational regime, will be held in occupied Tskhinvali this afternoon.
Davit Asatiani, Chairman of Georgian Lawyers’ Association claims that all procedural preconditions exist over the case to expect the release of Doctor Gaprindashvili today.
“We call on everybody to show common sense so that the person of a human profession is returned to his family soon,” Asatiani said.
The ruling team members claim that the whole world expresses solidarity to the imprisoned Georgian doctor.
“The de-facto authorities must realize that the case has gone beyond all legal frames. I believe that the de-facto regime will make the right decision,” Volski claimed.
The trial into the case of Doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili was held at occupied Akhalgori Court on December 13. According to the decision of the court, Gaprindashvili was left in imprisonment.
Tbilisi-based doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili was illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the occupation line with Akhalgori Municipality on November 9. He was sent to two-month pretrial detention on November 15.
